Ludus Director appointed to the DVA Human Research Ethics Committee

The primary role of the DVA HREC is to protect the welfare and rights of members of the veteran community who are participants in human research. Broadly defined, human research is conducted with or about people, their data or tissue.

In ensuring compliance with the National Statement, the Committee views research protocols from an ethical, moral and social perspective, irrespective of whether or not DVA is funding, or is likely to be responsible for, the research. The Committee also considers a participants right to privacy as protected by the Privacy Act 1988.

Director Bronson Horan is very happy and honoured to be appointed and hopes that his unique military and charitable backgrounds will add to the outcomes of the committee.

Ludus participates in the 6th Annual Illicit Networks Workshop

This workshop brought together international authorities on terrorism and criminal behaviour. The purpose of the activity was to develop tools to help private organisations and governments to understand illicit network structures and develop the knowledge to counter unlawful activities globally.

During the two day workshop LUDUS merged our ideas founded on operational experience with academics from around the world, bringing a unique understanding and experience with illicit networks into partnership with technical analysis.

 It is our intent that continued engagement with theoretical practitioners will help generate further means to better understand and analyse global and domestic illicit networks in order to provide a service to clients which is unparalleled.

Ludus to host DTC sponsored Executive Brief

On 25 November, 2014 In conjunction with the Defence Teaming Centre Ludus will be hosting a lunch and briefing to executives and senior managers within the Australian defence industry.

The focus of the brief will be on the intrinsic link between the human risk and the cyber threat and how human vulnerability is utilised to facilitate illicit access to information & intellectual property. This discussion highlights a niche capability of our organisation while reinforcing a greater set of services within our intelligence and investigations platform.

Ludus is featured in the August 2014 edition of the Defence Teaming Centre's publication - SA Defence Business. The article focuses on our company's foundation of Australian and American business and defence experience alongside our continuing efforts to work with the Australian veteran community. Ludus has been a proud member of the DTC since 2012. 

Ludus will be publishing an information piece in the November edition of the magazine titled "Intelligence Collection - The Human Risk". The article highlights the realities of corporate espionage in the modern marketplace and the human element not commonly linked with cyber security threats.
